Sue Super embodies the meaning of “enjoying life to the fullest.” Her bubbly and warm personality immediately reaches everyone on set as she steps through the door, and its all thanks to Penn Audiology, that we were able to meet Sue and share her story. Only recently did Sue discover she could not hear like everyone else around her. She had been experiencing life-long hearing loss, missing the sounds of nature, the music in her everyday life, and the world she explored as an avid traveler. When she found Penn Audiology, she shared her concerns and they said, “No problem,” which kick-started the promising journey toward regaining Sue’s zest for life.
Sue was an immediate joy over the phone in our pre-interview with her. We had to capture her joy and personality. Because of covid-19, we prioritized Sue’s safety above all else, choosing to recreate a sense of home in a rented location for Sue to do her needle-point art and dance to her heart’s content. From location selection to production design, the element of Sue must exist. Sue even brought in her own exquisite needle-point art pieces which are showcased throughout the piece.
