At Maestro, we recognize our responsibility to assist in building up our local communities. Our team develops creative ways to share our time, talent, and resources with those in need, through storytelling and service.
The Conductor Project is Maestro’s umbrella of philanthropy and social impact. Each year we support organizations with missions that are in line with three key areas which we believe in strongly: education, arts, and healthy living, by leading change and bringing people together. Supporting the community in which we do business is a responsibility we have as an organization and we find it vital in effecting positive change and harmony.
Project Forte is an original series presented by Maestro Filmworks that seeks to amplify marginalized voices in the film industry to promote a continued initiative around allyship. Allyship is not about the different struggles of diverse groups canceling each other out or competing with each other; rather, it is about coming together in solidarity. Our goal is to cut through the noise of the status quo in order to highlight the voices of those many talented and creative individuals that are forces in their own crafts.
Long Story Shorts is a creative development initiative established in 2018 as an outlet for developing and producing short narrative films. Originally built for the Instagram platform, we embraced the parameters of the 1-minute short as a challenge to our team in self-editing and elegant story-telling. We have come to prize the LSS initiative as a valuable creative outlet for our team, establishing opportunities for us to experiment with new filmmaking techniques and topics. Many of us opt to try unfamiliar positions or bring on collaborators, making this program a bit of a sweetheart for us.
