Mid Atlantic Arts gave us the opportunity to spend some time with Living Jazz Legends Recipient 2022, Amina Claudine Myers. Born in Blackwell, Arkansas, Ms. Myers recounted early memories of how the crickets and trains of the night in the countryside had influenced her music. Music has been a part of her life since she was 4. Our whole crew was in awe when she played the keys, her fingers dancing as she filled the room with life and love for her music. It was an honor to be able to tell this short summary of her life in music and how she influenced the jazz world.
