We are incredibly proud to share that our documentary Underdogs, made its world premiere at the prestigious Philadelphia Film Festival. Directed by award-winning Maria Vattimo and executive-produced by Connor Barwin and Kris Mendoza, the film was featured in the “Filmadelphia Shorts Program,” a celebration of the city’s dynamic filmmaking community.
Underdogs tells the powerful story of the Vare Gymnastics Team, whose resilience and determination carried them through the closure of their beloved South Philadelphia gym. Their unwavering spirit inspired the city and organizations like the Make the World Better Foundation to build a new state-of-the-art facility for the community.
