Alonzo Mourning was at the top of his game. Having been drafted second overall in the 1992 NBA draft to the Charlotte Hornets, he quickly cemented his dominance in the league as a force to be reckoned with. That career was cut short, however, due to the diagnosis of a rare kidney disease. His doctors said he would likely never be able to play again.
In this short branded documentary, we worked with NephCure, a leading advocacy organization in the rare kidney disease space, to capture and tell Alonzo’s story. To bring his interview to life, we utilized a projection treatment of gameplay footage to create a sense of history and pastime as he reflected on his illustrious career.
