Vanessa is a self-taught Latinx independent freelance director whose work extends itself nationwide. Known for telling surreal and colorful stories, Vanessa’s work spans through a wide range of genres and clients. Most of her directorial work consists of music videos, since music has played a guiding force throughout the course of her career — and life. Her favorite stories are those that highlight authenticity and bring color to the mundane. Pla can create unique and captivating modern imagery while pulling inspiration from older cinema palettes and vintage motifs. Each project calls for its own unique approach, but what stays constant is her need to push boundaries and challenge perspectives both literally and metaphorically.
