Community & Social Responsibility

Supporting the community in which we do business is a key initiative and responsibility we have as an organization. As we go through our day to day operations, we find it absolutely vital to support our local communities while we seek to be the best business we can be. This means that at the very core of our DNA as a company, we don’t take for granted the capacity which we have to be able to give back to the community which we can call home. We have ingrained into the fabric of our culture, ways to support local organizations with missions that are in line with three key initiatives which we believe in strongly: education, arts, and healthy living.

To this end, Maestro Filmworks supports non-profit/charitable organizations by making our services and resources available in order to drive their mission. Please take a minute to read more about how Maestro Filmworks is proactively getting involved in the community and watch some videos on how we’re contributing to becoming the change we wish to see.

A promotional video we produced for Classroom Champions, a great organization that helps keep at-risk youth on track by bringing Olympians, Paralympians and Olympic/Paralympic games hopefuls (Athlete Mentors) into the classroom using videos and live chats. “A kind of 21st century pen-pal, each athlete mentor adopts 1-4 classrooms per year.

Focusing on their own personal journey, athletes teach about the hard work of training, goal setting, competition and perseverance. Using video lessons and live video chats, students are engaged with their athlete mentor several times per month. The program supports teachers by helping them incorporate these activities into their curricula, focusing on letter writing, reading, geography, math, technology, goal setting and leadership.”

We were proud to announce our first collaboration with Stay True Philadelphia through our subsidiary, Philly Photo Studio. We put cameras into the hands of inner city students and gave them some instruction on telling stories through visuals. The experience was both fascinating and fulfilling, watching the kids’ excitement and creativity flowing.

Our second collaboration with Stay True Philadelphia through our subsidiary Philly Photo Studio. We put on a canned food drive in the Fishtown/Port Richmond community by hosting a “Photo with Santa” day. Students from Stay True came and helped gather cans and participate in arts and crafts with the children that came through. At the end of the day, more than 500 cans were collected to benefit Blessed Sarnelli, a soup kitchen in our neighborhood.
